Lima 5 Days
Day 01: LIMA – JAEN – CHACHAPOYAS
Depart for the airport at an appropriate time, arriving two hours before your flight to Jaén. Reception at the airport and departure to Chachapoyas (approximately 4 hours’ drive). We will enjoy unforgettable landscapes. Arrival. Accommodation.
Day 02: GOCTA WATERFALL
Breakfast at the hotel. At a time coordinated with the guide, we will depart for the town of Cocachimba, located just approximately one hour from Chachapoyas. Our guide will inform us how to undertake this interesting hike along narrow paths surrounded by lush vegetation and wildlife typical of the cloud forest for approximately two hours. If possible, we may observe the famous Cock-of-the-Rock in its natural habitat. We will visit the impressive GOCTA Waterfall, the third highest in the world, at 771 meters. Time for lunch in this northeastern city. Return to Chachapoyas. Overnight stay.
Day 03: KUELAP FORTRESS - MACRO RUINS
Breakfast. At an appropriate time, we depart for Kuelap Fortress. Along the way, we will be able to observe the Macro archaeological complex, located on the right slope of the Utcubamba River. Upon arrival at Tingo, we will board the cable car to La Malca, where we will begin a short hike to Kuelap Fortress, located at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level. We will enjoy a guided tour of the interior, including the Upper and Lower Towns, their ceremonial precincts, the tower, the main temple, and their circular and rectangular houses. We will return by cable car to the town of Tingo. Lunch will be served and we will depart for the city of Chachapoyas. Overnight stay.
Day 04: CHACHAPOYAS – JAÉN - LIMA
Breakfast. Departure on time to Jaén Airport (approximately 4 hours’ travel time) for your flight to Lima.
